GSMReleasev2.2.1Aug 27, 2026
Patch Update
- Backup and restore tables now load dramatically faster
- Fixed an issue where registry save locations ending with a backslash were never detected
- Fixed the interface freezing during backup and restore
- Fixed games whose install folder names contain
[ ] { } ( ) ! + @ | not appearing in the backup table, as those characters were being interpreted as wildcard patterns - The backup table's time column now shows the newest save file modification time instead of the newest backup time, so you can see when a game was last played
- Registry save data is now counted in the backup size, so games that only save to the registry no longer show 0 B
- Renamed the size columns for clarity:
Save Size on the backup table for the live save data, and Backup Size on the restore table for the stored backup - Added sorting to the backup and restore tables — click any column header to toggle ascending and descending, with ties ordered alphabetically
- The row menu (⋯) now opens in its own floating window so it is no longer cut off at the edge of the app window
- Renamed the
Placeholders Guide to Path Syntax Guide, which now also documents the wildcards (*, ?, **) available in custom entry paths - Updated to Electron 44 from 31 along with all other dependencies
GSMReleasev2.2.0Aug 7, 2026
Minor Update
- Added a
Manage Backups panel under more actions — see every backup you've made for a game, restore or delete a backup from any time, mark a backup as permanent so it's never removed by your Maximum Backups Per Game setting, and give permanent backups any name you want - The
Manage Backups panel also lets you open the backup folder, browse local save files, and delete local save files - Fixed an issue where paths couldn't be resolved correctly if a template path contains multiple
{{p|uid}} placeholders — the backup data generation logic was redesigned and is now far more robust - Added a modal showing your current account IDs (Steam, Ubisoft, Rockstar, etc.), with a choice between backing up the current accounts only or all accounts
- Enhanced the custom tab's visuals — it looks and behaves better
- Added a duplicate game name check in the custom tab
- Added an unsaved changes check when leaving the custom tab
- More platforms support automatic default game install folder detection. Currently supported:
Steam, Ubisoft, Epic Games, Electronic Arts, GOG, Battle.net - You can now export selected games from the backup or restore tab instead of all games (permanent backups are always exported)
- Optimized coordination between different tasks to prevent conflicts
- Added Auto Backup, supporting two modes: backup at regular intervals, or backup when save files change. Auto backups persist across app restarts
- Added hide game functionality to remove games from the list, recoverable from
Options -> Manage Hidden Games - You can now search for entries in the backup and restore tabs with both English and Chinese
